Ramappa Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Built in 1213 under the Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva and named after its sculptor Ramappa, the temple is known for its floating bricks, fine dancer sculptures and black basalt carvings. It sits at Palampet in Mulugu district. The temple is generally open from early morning to early evening.
Laknavaram Lake
About 25 km from Ramappa, Laknavaram Lake has a long hanging bridge and small islands. It is a good place to end the day, especially after the monsoon when the lake is full.
